Your garden will be enhanced with the addition of a unique, African-styled Thatched Garden Room, inspired from the traditional African round huts - rondavels - with grass or thatched roofs. And - to ensure the authenticity of your garden room - the cape reeds used in construction are actually supplied from a sustainable source in South Africa.


Your garden room is available in two different sizes. The Caledon is suitable for smaller gardens and will seat 6 people comfortably, whilst the larger Komati can accommodate up to 12 people and is ideally suited for alfresco dining.

And, as your outside room is mainly constructed from natural products, it blends superbly into any setting.

To complete your Garden Thatch Room, quality exterior furniture is available. The uniquely designed hexagonal tables & benches are constructed using top quality teak timber, whilst cushions and side panels are made from heavy duty acrylic canvas.


Whilst many companies can provide buildings for use outdoors, The Garden Thatch Company are virtually unique in that their garden rooms may be installed on an unprepared site normally in just one day.

Your Garden Thatch Room can be built on an existing hardstanding, on 6 patio slabs, or each of the main supporting posts can be sunk into the ground. So, unlike most other companies, you don't need to have a concrete base! This removes the hassle of finding a builder to lay concrete prior to the arrival of your building. This will save you both time and money!

Another advantage of our method of installation is that our garden rooms can even be erected on a sloping site, and both models are now available in DIY kit form if you wish to assemble your own garden room.
